I could remember vividly he taught me Separation of power, by Av Dicey, Check and balances etc. May he continue to rest till we meet at Jesus feet.

I met Steve Maikenti in 1998 at the Faculty of Law ABU Zaria, he sent for me and introduced himself to me as my big brother, I didn't know any Tangale Student then, and he introduced me to Gombe State Student Association, I heard about Great Commission Movement from him and Fire Conference has been a blessing.

May God Comfort your family... till we meet at Jesus feet

Dear big brotherInmiss seeing photos of you with your toothy smile; I miss teasing looking for your trouble, I miss your big brotherly love and how you let me get away with being naughty, I miss your words of wisdom to me and encouragement when I needed those, I miss how you have always been there for me- I never took that for granted.
Keep on resting as we on this side of eternity keep working out our own salvation as we await seeing each other on the resurrection morning. Rest on, you have missed nothing but we do miss you.

Rest in Stevo, rest on.

It's exactly one year today since you left us to rest with the Lord.
God has faithfully kept watch over us.
He blessed us with family and friends that made the burden lighter.
We can smile because we know you are in a better place.
No day goes by without us talking about you.
We have wonderful memories that comfort us.
We love you and miss you dearly.

A Great Soldier's 1year of Retirement!
"Fading away like the stars of the morning,
losing their light in the glorious sun,
thus would we pass from the earth an its toiling,
Only remembered by what we have done..."

Oh Memories! Fail us not...
A vibrant, articulate, available, and passionate soldier has retired from physical active service to eternal active worship.

Oh memories! Fail us not...
The one who laughs and the laugh make others laugh has retired.

Oh memories! Fail us not...
Barr Makenti, always @ GCM-AGM giving Legal perspective & investment wisdom to issues. The military missionary lawyer has retired even when not tried.

Oh memories! Fail us not... Our brother friend and associate has given himself to remind us of the briefness of our sojourn and the urgency of our mission.

Oh memories! Fail us not. What about wife, children, families, loved ones & friends? A trillion things to share about this valiant warrior who dropped his armour of war in an unexpected retirement.

Oh memory! Fail me not...
I am lost in search,
I swim in wonder, Forced to stop and reflect on the struggle and travails of man. I know again that retirement is not by years of service or age in service.

Oh memories! Fail me not... Worrying will not help me, crying and whaling not at all, quietness may even increase my confusion.
So what? I do not know.
Yes, "tabula rasa."
Quick quick quick, Lord help my heart to be one with you.

Oh memory! Fail me not... Surely, it will happen again soon if the Lord decides to still wait a little more to come to meet with us here, we will go to meet with him there. Retirement is sure. The prevailing sound: Ready! Ready!! Ready!!! Be consoled in the Lord soldiers. He has only gone ahead of us all.
