Thinking about you, Steve.  I was just talking about you with Rex Williams the other day.  Can't believe it's been 14 years.  We'll have a lot to catch up on when we meet again.

I'll never forget you, Steve.  I cherish your sense of curiosity and optimism - constantly experimenting and playing and authentic.

I still miss you terribly Stevie.  I hear you have a little granddaughter, but I have never seen her.  I hope you are watching over her and she is raised in the Gospel.

Love,

Mom

After having lost his way on the road of life, he found his way back through the Atonement of Jesus Christ who welcomes us all back.
At the time of his unexpected death, he was very active in the LDS Church and worked splits with the Missionaries. He did all he could to share the Restored Gospel with all he met.

Man from Atlantis

September 22, 2014

Steve loved the water and we got him a snorkel and goggles.   One warm evening in Seattle, he begged us to take him to Carkeek Park on Puget Sound so he could swim.
Steve was born with some abnormalities on his right hand and left foot.   However he had an extremely developed sense of humor.
As more and more families came to watch the sunset and walk the beach, their attention was drawn to the splashing and activity off shore.  It was Steve out enjoying the water.
When he finally came in, some younger kids came running up to him as he walked out of the water.   They gasped when he took off his flippers and they saw his foot and hand.   Who was this creature they wondered.    This happened in the late 60's or early 70's, and there was a neat TV program called Man From Atlantis.
Steve laughed and told them he WAS the real man from Atlantis and his body had just not made the metamorphisis back to regular human all the way yet.
