My word! It has taken me a long time to honor my brother, Sterling (Junior) this way but it was in my heart, all along. We all have our own ways of grieving. For some, it takes longer than others. The reasons are varied. For me, it was affected by my memory of the circumstances that kept us from getting closer. By now, however, I believe he would have liked that we hold onto the positive feelings and thoughts. I'm into Gratitude and Forgiveness these days. He had such a warm and welcoming nature. I loved one of our conversations in particular. The time was when I called his Mom at the Care Center. After our Dad passed away, I would call to see how she was doing. Sterling happened to be there also. He was so friendly and happy about his family and seemed so pleased to talk with me. I could feel his smile!! He asked me when I would be visiting the Jersey Shore and to be sure to contact him so that we could go out for dinner. If only he knew how difficult it would be lately to get together. This year of 2020 turned out to be "tripped out" for lack of a better description. Anyway, The Scriptures say that there will be a resurrection at Acts 24:15 so I will keep serving my loving God Jehovah and welcome my brother back. Then, we will catch up on everything. He was that sort of person. No matter how much time had passed, we would catch up and it was as if we had never parted.

I didn't know Sterling personally but I did have the privilege of getting  to know his beloved wife Bernetta and his sons.  All I can say is his spirit is evident in every single one of his loved ones. He made such an impact on how they love and are loved. I'm sure his memory will live on forever.  Rest in Paradise Sterling Rozier. May God be with you and your family as they cope with the loss of you. God bless.
