His Life
December 29, 2011

Steven William Babikow, 39, of Baltimore, Maryland passed away on 12/28/2011, as the result of his battle with lung cancer. His family and his devoted soul mate Amy were by his side when he returned to be with the Lord.

Steve Babikow is survived by Amy Thomas, his parents Debbie and Donald Babikow; his brother Tim Babikow, Sister-in-law Erika and his two beloved nephews Nate and Reece Babikow.

Steve was born on December 9th 1972 at Franklin Square Hospital. He graduated from Overlea High School in 1991. After high school Steve moved right into working in the family’s business and learning every aspect of running the company, eventually becoming a Co-Owner with Paul, Donald and Tim. Steve then settled in and took over the responsibility of the shipping department. This was his love! He then would build what Babikow’s delivery system has become today. Even with all of his other responsibilities he would still love getting out on the road to make deliveries and visit with the customers.

His favourite pastimes included hanging out at the “Greenhouse” with family and friends. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and riding his Harley. Everyone who knew Steve knew his passions ran deep and he would put everything into what he loved most.
Steve also had a great love for the Fire Department. He was a volunteer fireman since his early 20’s. Steve always had a passion for helping people and his commitment to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Department. He was made an honorary life member in November 2011.
He will always be remembered as an outgoing, friendly and caring person. As a son, brother, owner and friend he will always be missed by everyone who knew him.
