OBITUARY

 

Louis Stephen Lane was born July 22nd, 1943, to Charles W. and Bernice (Ted) Lane in Duncan, Oklahoma. His family moved to Norman, Oklahoma when he was a child.

 

Steve accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at Trinity Baptist Church. He graduated from Norman High School in 1961, and served in the Marine Corp shortly thereafter. Steve married LaDonna Haden in 1963 and had three children, Bruce Lane, Tracey Moody and Chris Lane. He later married Diana Nix in 1995, and had daughter Tiffany Lane. Steve was a Norman Firefighter for 17 years and operated a roofing and painting business during his days off. He loved fishing and managing his garden. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always playing pranks on his fellow co-workers and family.  He was forever dedicated to his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

 

Steve Lane was preceded in death by his parents Charles W. and Ted Lane, brothers Paul and Pete Lane, infant son Bruce Randolph Lane and daughter Tiffany Lane. He leaves behind his wife Diana, sister Janis Stroud, brothers Bob, Hewitt and Travis Lane, his daughter Tracey Moody, son Chris Lane and grandson Andrew Moody.

 

Steve requested that there not be a funeral, however a Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at Andrews Park in the building just East of the amphitheater on Saturday May 16, 2015, from 2pm-4pm.
