Steve had a rich and complex life in the time he was with us. One of a large family, he loved both his birth family, cousins and extended relatives as well as his own family, Brenda, Ed, James, Anna, Jessica, and his special daughter.

He shouldered much responsibility and grew in goodness over time, trying to meet life's challenges, in spite of many obstacles. He cared for, and was loyal to his friends. I could see natural leadership in Steve, and enjoyed the times we had together working in the flower garden, going to the hospital together, having a Danish and coffee at Busken, and the good conversation we enjoyed. Steve was always proud of his roots in Booneville, Ky, and loved California, Ohio and Mt. Washington. I will miss his wisdom and perspective.
