Steven Otto Steuter passed away on December 1, 2017 in Phoenix, AZ after a courageous, yearlong battle with lung cancer. He was 63.
Steve was born on January 06, 1954 in West Point, NE to his parents Paul and Bertha Steuter. Along with his eleven siblings, he was raised on the family dairy farm in rural Nebraska where he developed his lifelong passion for exploring the outdoors. After finishing high school, he moved to Phoenix, AZ where he began his career as an electrician and started a family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends hunting, fishing, and camping. He had an industrious nature and could fix just about anything. He was a very loyal and caring father, son, brother, and friend to all.
Steve is preceded in death by his dad, Paul Steuter. He is survived by his mom, Bertha Steuter; his (4) children: son, Sam Steuter; son and daughter-in-law Adam (Nikki) Steuter; daughter and son-in-law Jolyn (Mike) Wilda; son, Josh Steuter, and (6) grandchildren; Nathan, Jeremiah, Camdyn, Seth, Callan, and Michael. Additional survivors include the families of his (11) brothers and sisters; Sophie, Al, Stan, Kathy, David, Susie, Judy, Paul, Lori, Lisa, and Jenny.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 3424 N 18th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85015 at 10:00 a.m. December 14, 2017. Memorial donations may be made to Angel Tree®, a program of the Prison Fellowship non-profit organization, https://www.prisonfellowship.org/about/angel-tree/
