Steve came into my life when I was around 18, our families were intertwined through marriage. Everytime Clint Eastwood comes into view I think of Steve. I still live in a dwelling he help to build, so I get to see his workmanship everyday. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, carpenter, and friend I have ever known. He taught me things about construction that I still use today. There are too many good memories to share here, but all I can say is handlebar mustaches are comin back thanks to Haney!

Steve taught me all I needed to know about the construction industry. He taught me "its a Dry System" ," Fuck it till Monday" and "Nobody Cares ". Steve always made me laugh and never skipped a chance to come see his office Bitches and Haven.
We will think of you often and even have an occasional cold beer in your honor.
I love you old man.♡ until we meet again, toss that line in the water and remember how much you are loved.

My husband and I met Steve and Vicky when we purchased our vacation home in Bullhead City AZ in 2006. They were such gracious neighbors - they took care of our place when we weren't there. When I think of Steve, I think: Laid back, kind, funny, witty and generous. I also think Coors Light! We loved having a beer with Steve. So sad he is gone - but never forgotten~

Darling Steve, Oh my heart is a broken. I was Mike Haney’s girlfriend and Steve and I live together with Mike and Mike’s apartment in Hermosa Beach. We were tight because we were scared of Mike. We would Giggle secretly. Lost touch but then found each other on Facebook years later and he was mad at me since he’s had cancer but I loved him like a brother and think of him as a brother. Dearest family I’m so sorry for all of your loss STEVE Is a very good man. Im so shocked

I grew up in Gardena just a few blocks from the Haney family. I did not know Mike, Cathy or Steve very well but I had been in their home and was Larry's girlfriend throughout high school. I heard of Cathy's passing a few years back and now hearing of Steve's passing my heart aches for the family. I can see from the photos Steve was loved and surrounded by family and friends. My condolences to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Karen (Stewart) Young

My Friend

March 20, 2021
Steve, an amazing man and friend.
I was thinking the other day, some of the best days I've ever had working as an adult were next to you. We laughed, listened to Howard Stern, you would always yell out like Bigfoot it is(if you know you know), you got on my ass and taught me a lot. Everytime I went home you were one of the people I made sure I called and tried to get together with. You meant a lot to me. Thanks for always being there. Till we meet again.
