Steven Lee Farling, 47, of New Cumberland, passed away suddenly at 5:30 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, while in the care of Manor Care of Carlisle.
Steven was born Aug. 18, 1969, in Harrisburg,Pa. He was a true fighter, overcoming many medical obstacles in his lifetime. He loved doing arts and crafts, talking on the phone and family visits.
He is survived by 3 brothers; John (Christine), Camp Hill, William and Christopher (Amanda Rose), New Cumberland; 3 sisters Joan (James) Allison and Tori (Doug Colpetzer) Farling, New Cumberland, Janet (Glenn) Davenport, Newport; 2 sons; Daniel (Skye) Spurr, Columbus Georgia and Jordan Farling, Carlisle; 2 grand children Isabella and Able Spurr, Columbus Georgia; 18 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father John Henry Farling III, his mother Harriet Elizabeth (Nevius) Farling and oldest sister Harriet Elizabeth (Farling) Musser.

Memorial will be held Sunday June 25th, 2017 @ 3 pm at the American Legion onMarsh Run Road in New Cumberland

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name...in life we loved you dearly but in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to see you go, but you didn't go alone for part of us went with you on that day god called you home. You left us amazing memories, and still love is our guide...though we cannot see you...you are always going to be by our side. Yes our family chain is a little more broken, and nothing seems like it will be the same but God calls us all one by one. This chain will link once again... for you are not alone fly high uncle Steven, and keep Grammy, Aunt Mabel, Aunt Tink, and Pap company for we will all meet again. You will be missed. Love you uncle Steven!
