OBITUARY

STEVIN WAYNE GARDNER, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2020. at the age of 49. Stevin was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents James and Eliza Ashley, father Adolphus Jackson, son Robert “Bear” Dunning, uncles Thomas and Brad Ashley, cousins Willie Simon, James Lewis Ashley III, Robert Tucker, Kristal Hall and Edward J. Holloway Jr.

Stevin was educated in the Birmingham City School system. He was employed at Tyson Foods and UAB Birmingham where he worked for 10 years until he became ill. After becoming ill, he began his journey spending his time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A loving, caring and devoted mother DeBorah Ashley Gardner Smith (Percy); Wife Janice Gardner; Thirteen children Mark, Jessica, James, Stevin, Adrianne, LaVandria, Stephon, AYunna, JiMyah, Stevin Jr, Yasmin, Gavin and Gabriel; Fourteen grandchildren; one brother Marcus Gardner(Angel); Four sisters Ronda and Sandra Smith, Elisa Gardner, Karla Wormely Page(Carlos); Four uncles Boris, Clarence, James and Wyatt Ashley(Leslie); Two aunts Angela and LaVern Ashley; a host of beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives.
