Picture I just added for Karen is of Stori after finishing Avon Run.
On Saturday August 17th, while in her sleep at home, our precious Stori passed on to eternal life. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful, sweet girl. Stori fought her cancer with grace, courage and dignity. We pray for her and for all of those who are affected by this insidious disease. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Mitchell County, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, N.C. 28777. Thank you for all of the prayers, support and heartfelt condolences.

We have many happy memories of Stori and she will truly be missed. Such a big heart and great attitude she had. We remember her as a very young woman who could kick a soccer ball better than most men and turn many a head, and then as Jonathan's girl. She was a jewel and we love her. We'll miss her sweet smile but remember her forever.

Jon, my first memories of Stori were as a tan little cherub running around their swimming pool on Aladdin and as a pro on the soccer field for years to come. She was such a good little athlete and the first thing everyone will remember is her infectious smile for everyone. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. You were the perfect man for her and the family will always love you.

Jon, though my heart is crushed at this horrible loss, I celebrate Stori's life. I will dearly miss my precious cousin. We shared many handwritten letters and emails the last few years, which are especially priceless to me now. Heaven just got a whole lot brighter. Thank you for being a wonderful husband to her. The first time I met Stori was on the golf course. I was a bit nervous because I am a hacker and heard she was a good golfer. She was a delight to play with. I always told her she had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen. They looked like angel eyes. Now she is an angel. We will all miss her sweet smile. God bless you.
