As we all know , football was one of Stuart's greatest loves. His favourite team, God help him, was Tottenham Hotspur, otherwise known as Spurs. I know he would have had a lot to say about the fact that they have been unable to find another manager for two months since the last full time manager was sacked, a certain Jose MOURINHO.
With the advent of the new footy season upon us, August 2021, he would have been getting twitchy feet. Even twitchier when the first lot of fixtures were announced for the weekend of the 14th August. None so tough as their first match, against the champions from last season MANCHESTER CITY.
The usual bets would have been going back and forth. We shall miss our endless email commentaries of VAR, bad refereeing, petulant players and "unfair" results. Despite all this, it is only a sport and may the best team be at the top come May 2022.
