Dear Sumit’s family,

Sumit was my motivation to work as volunteer with India team during these times. He had such positive influence on ppl he met. You must be so proud of having him as your family as his authenticity, his composure, his detail oriented approach and his confidence in solving challenges was so contagious. I have spent a lot of time with Sumit in lab, in problem solving over last 6-7years. If I know anything abt PiSI which in turn enables me to do my job better, the credit goes to Sumit. He answered all my basic questions with immense patience and smile. I told Sumit that I owe him and his team a special dinner and I feel so bad for not doing before I left India. Most of us could not sleep those harsh days. The news was so heartbreaking. Tears could not stop for hours. Sumit showed so much strength and fight. Sumit you will be missed dearly.

To the dear family, I wish you strength to cope with the loss. To the kids, brace up and explore the world with great strength . Your father has done so much good and all that will come back as good energy and blessings for you. Stay strong and you are not alone. We are with you.

Dear Sumit Sir
It is really tough to come terms with you leaving us so soon. I got to work with you as a new novice joinee from college. Under your guidance, I took the first steps in path of professional career, learnt basics of our industry and grew as an employee.
As my cube was sidebyside adjacent to yours, I have whole lot of memories, visuals, words of yours etched in my mind. For the same reason, I find even more difficult to express.
Maybe Almighty's will works in ways we cannot fathom - that is all I can say..
Pray for the Family and organization to get strength to bear the loss.
Om Shanti.

..

Dear Sumit,
It is unbelievable to know that you have left us for a better world. We have known each other for so long, every project we did together was so much fun. I liked the way you were so polite and always appreciated your "Never Say No" attitude with a smiling face!
You would always be missed my dear friend. Rest in peace and prayers for the family.

This is certainly a very big loss to the family and the community and to me personally.

I and Sumit worked together for around 3 yrs at Freescale Noida from 2008 to 2011. He was one of the most humble, sweetest, kindest and helpful person. I clearly remember the fun times we had - occasional tea chats, technical discussions and peers marriage trips/parties.

Sumit will always be in my thoughts and prayers and live as an inspiration for the decades to come.

Dear Sumit,

Jo likhunga, pata nahin tum tak pahunchega ya nahin, par mujhe thoda sukun milega. Itni jaldi chale gaye, Ishwar ne socha bhi nahin ki jo rah jayenge wo kaise jiyenge. Itna hi saath tha. Abhi bhi jata hoon Film City, us jagah se gujarta hoon jahan hum chai peete the.

Kuch chai baaki rah gayin..
Kuch batein baaki rah gayin..

Milenge phir..
Phir se dost banenge..
Agli baar zyada waqt le kar aana..
Agli baar yadein ban ke mat rah jana..

Always a thorough gentleman, both inside and outside a meeting room. He was exemplary in maintaining composure while simultaneously having a engaging technical debate. His extraordinary ability of having a calming influence on any discussion, no matter how critical, was something i am still trying to imbibe. My progress in this regard would be my greatest tribute to the wonderful human being that he was.

Rest in Peace Sir.

Aum Shanti.

Still can’t believe that Sumit is no more…

Since one year, we all are working from home and not able to meet face to face. It was same for me also and could not meet Sumit F2F in last few months. Hence its getting difficult to believe that he is no more. I am sure, we all will be in tears again when we start going office and don’t see him in his corner seat…. smiling as always. Will be in tears again when we will go for lunch and he will not be sitting on lunch table.

Sumit was confidante & friend. We used to share issues(personal/professional) with each other. He used to handle technical & other issues with smiling face. Always calm and in full control of the situation. He did not go in fight mode even if he is not happy with something. Most important thing about his personality is to to create a win-win situation if there is a conflict. Due to these qualities only, people in office felt comfortable to approach him to resolve issues. I often used to approach him freely to get his help. It was so easy to work with him on any project..simple or difficult as I was sure that any problem can be resolved.

He was technical genius and known PISI expert globally. Most importantly, he was great human being.
Lost him too early …missing him a lot. ☹

Dear Sumit,

Though I have known you only for a short period, the indelible impression you have left behind can never be erased. You will be remembered in our hearts always for being such an affable, always smiling, kind hearted Mr. Nice person!

Needless to say, your achievements on the work front and your technical prowess will always be recounted by your colleagues for their lifetime.

Unfortunately, destiny cut-short your life, but not before you could leave your imprint of a great human-being, compassionate colleague, a true leader and above all a loving family man!

We are all so proud of you and the exemplary life you led. May you always be remembered in our hearts and keep smiling wherever you are!!

Sumit sir was amongst the first few people I met at Freescale. He was humble and down to earth.
He jelled so easily and quickly with everyone. Always very cheerful and encouraging personal. He will surely be missed.

I know Sumit sir since last 3 years and he was one of the most important people in my life since then. He was my manager, mentor, senior, colleague. We used to interact almost every working day and I still can’t believe that he is gone forever. He taught me the skills and tools required to transition from a college student to corporate world. In a time when people hate their bosses and managers, He was a person who was cherished and loved by everyone around him including me. I have never seen him scolding anyone or getting angry at anyone. However worse be the situation he was facing, he always tackled it with his contagious and beautiful smile.

I just wish he would have stayed with us longer, but god must be having some other plans by calling such a good person early. I want to give a wholehearted thanks for everything you have done for me Sumit sir, you will always live in my memories. May your family find strength to deal with such a huge loss.

Missing you,
Your junior-most friend/student
Sidharth
