His Life

A life well-lived.

April 6, 2019

Born in Kampala, Uganda in 1938, the youngest in the family and brother to three sisters, Shalini, Sarojini and Leela.

Suresh studied at Old Kampala School until his Cambridge Senior Year and at the age of 17 he moved to England in 1955 to study for his A-Levels at Woolwich College. Shortly after he joined the Royal Air Force stationed at Benson as an aircraft engineer.

He married Vimala from Seremban, Malaysia in 1972 and settled in Morden, Surrey where they raised two sons, Kiran and Viresh.

After leaving the Royal Air Force he joined British Airways in 1967 and remained for 33 years before retiring early in 2000.

Since his retirement, Suresh enjoyed the simple things - his daily newspaper, his immaculate garden, walking with Vimala and a beer before dinner.

He will be remembered as a true gentleman who had the ability to engage with people of all ages with his honesty, sense of humor and willingness to lend a helping hand when needed. He will be missed.

Suresh is survived by his wife Vimala, sons Kiran and Viresh, daughter-in-law Deepa, grand-daughters Anika and Ahila and sisters Shalini, Sarojini and Leela.
