Susan Elizabeth McDonald passed away 9 years after becoming a quadriplegic. She is survived by her soul mate and husband of 46 years, Ken, her daughter Brenda, sons Bob and Steve (Gina), grandchildren Braxton, Deklen, Ella and Emma, mother Myrle, brother Dave (Lynda) and sister-in-law Loreen (Bill). Sue was a fantastic wife, a loving and devoted mother and a good friend to many. Her passion was teaching. She taught at Vernon Secondary, Delta Secondary and Montgomery Junior High in Coquitlam until she took time away to raise her three children. She then returned to John Robson and Lord Tweedsmuir Elementary Schools in New Westminster until she retired in 2001. Special thanks to the staff at Eagle Ridge Manor where she received outstanding care for the last 7 years. She fought a courageous battle after her accident in 2005 and her courage was admired by everyone.
