I hadn't seen or talked to Sue in years when I got the news the other day. I thought someone was surely mistaken and didn't truly believe it until I was able to confirm it with her co-workers. I met Sue at KSU and we grew to become very good friends. I was able to talk to her about ANYTHING and often did. I was warned a few times by my bosses that I needed to spend less time talking to Sue and more time working..HAHA! I didn't regret it then and certainly don't regret it now. I hope she has found peace and her husband and children can find something close to peace after such a tragic loss.

Oh Sue Sue! I can’t even begin to put into words how sad I am. You were like another of the Pittman sisters and a part of my life since the day I was born. You’ve called me Mickle Pickle as far back as my memory serves me. I remember my childhood summers, and the anticipation of coming to your house and swimming, riding the 4 wheeler, or playing Barbies with Nicole LOL. Many of my best memories growing up, you were there. Looking back over so many of the memories I have with you, there’s one thing that sticks out....an abundance of laughter. So much laughter. I remember you picking us up for school in your Chevy Astro Van, we’d fly over the railroad tracks on Waterloo Rd. at full speed, flying out of our seats while you screamed “Wahooo” and we would laugh so hard. I remember when you would talk about Sampson, “He’s a yellow dog, he’s not brown, he’s yellow, he’s a yellow dog.” I could write all day about the many wonderful memories I have with you. I’m so thankful for all the love and laughter your brought to my life over the past 35 years. I’m thankful for the friendship you brought to my mom and Tina. I’m thankful for the peace we have, knowing you’re in the presence of the Almighty. I don’t understand his timing, but I trust God’s plan. I can only assume heaven needed your jokes and laughter to be complete. I love you, I’ll miss you so so much....I’ll see you at the pool in heaven some day.

-Mickle Pickle

Eric, Nicole, Jeff, Daniel....my thoughts and prayers are with you. <3

Sue and I shared so much, the loss of our moms, the birth of our granddaughters, the weddings of our daughters. Always kind and so compassionate. I will miss her giggle and one liners. My condolences go out out to Jeff, Nicole, Eric, Daniel and their families and everyone that was blessed enough to share life with her. Til we meet again Sue.

Sue was one of the best people I knew! I have so many memories of her like dress shopping for Nicole’s wedding, shopping trips, swimming in her pool, training me at work in accounting and Euchre!, lunches, and her yelling “CORD!” when she saw me. I love her and am going to miss her so much. I truly treasure every moment and laugh we had. <3

Sue was the most incredible first boss. I have so many happy memories of the five years I worked with her at KSU. She was like a second mom to me and she will be forever missed. My condolences to Jeff, her children, and the entire family. Sue was an absolute rock star!

Sue will be greatly missed here at KSU. She was always a bright spot in our day. She and Kari loved to play Eucre on break, and could be heard across the room when they made a great play.
