*sighhh*

March 27, 2012

today i visited sushi's grave. it was quite windy and clothes blew with the wind as i progressed through the thicket of grass towards the grave. the grave, where just a few days ago i could have said the mulch under a peach tree. but no longer. when i reached the grave i remembered all of the fun times me and him had together...i sat down on the earthen ground as tears welled in my eyes and gave my respect towards sushi and wondered what he would be doing, if only, he were alive at this very moment
love, the creepy old lady living under your house
p.s. i love the choice of music within this website--it really reminds me of the ups and downs of his life

my favorite memories

March 27, 2012

Before I say anything else, my heart goes out to the family, especially Jessica. I know what it's like losing a beloved fish, it is earth shattering, ground breaking, heart crippling news. I am sorry for your dear loss.
My favorite memories of Sushi... oh where to start. I remember the first time I saw him. Jessica showed me a picture of him on her phone (he was her wallpaper). I thought his head looked like a meatball. But from that moment on, I knew I would want to meet this extraordinary being. I never had that chance, but I feel like I knew him, from that one picture. In the picture, you could tell that he just enjoyed his life as a fish.
I also remember a time in lunch, when Aunt Kirsten drew us a picture of suishi. Oh that memory feels so alive, i feel like it was today.... but anyway, the drawing even demonstrated sushi's love for life.
and the list of memories could go on and on...
I, again, am sorry for your loss and I hope Sushi finds his way around fishie heaven

the bubble blower

March 27, 2012

i was chewing gum looking into the fish bowl when it happened. i blew a very big bubble with my gum and giggled. sushi the fish gazed at me in awe. and then with all of his might, he too, blew a little bubble of air. it was the finest day of my existence. its those kind of moments that made me proud to be a human and to know sushi. and its those kind of moments i'll miss.
