Memorial Cross at Ragged Point

August 17, 2017

Last year in June, Dave and I laid a cross on Hwy 1 at Ragged Point in Big Sur according to the coordinates we were given, and through our gut instinct on where your accident occurred. We shared a bottle of wine and drank to you, Mom. You were so couragous and brave! You gave your heart fully, generously, and without expectations. You loved unconditionally. You continue to be my inspiration in life. I miss you so much. Highway 1 has been closed now due to a landslide, but when it opens, if anyone happens to see this cross still standing, please let us know!!

OMG... here is Suzanne standing in front of my family castle in Scotland.  This is the MacRae castle in Eilean Donan.  I hope she enjoyed visiting my relatives.

My Hero

August 19, 2011

Suzanne saved my life when I was a young kid playing in their pool on a sunny summer day! She swiftly jumped in and rescued me from the deep end after the boogie board slipped away from my grip and I started to panic and take in water....I don't recall Ashley and David ever noticing what happened.  But Suzanne was swimming me to the side before I knew it and made sure I was okay.  Then she looked me in the eye, told me to be more careful, and went back to enjoying her book while lounging in the sun. She handled it with grace as she did with life.

Thanks to her, I lived another day and eventually learned to swim.  That was in the early 80's and only the beginning of many fond memories growing up with the Freeman Family!

Tea Party!

August 18, 2011

Mrs. Freeman made David, myself and our friends a tea party in the spring of 1994.  There must have been 15 different kinds of sandwiches, hors d'oeuvres and appetizers that she made from scratch.  Unbelievable!  We played croquet as well, just outside her house!  This was one of the great memories of my teenage years.

Westlake Lutheran

August 17, 2011

We were invited to attend Westlake Lutheran Church 31 years ago

by Suzanne, our neighbor.  We will be forever thankful that she extended

this invitation.  A wonderful Christian woman who will be truly missed.

Suzanne Loved Music

This photo was taken in December 2006 at an LA Winds concert. Suzanne's son David was the first chair flutist at that time.

Mothers Day 2011

August 15, 2011

Mom and I went to this amazing French restaurant called Stella Mares overlooking the beach and we wore hats.  It was so much fun!  We had the best time!!
