her Life
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Suzanne “Sue” Richardson, 80, of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away in her home the morning of May 25th 2021. Suzanne was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Sue was born on January 1st 1941 to Louis and Eileen Perry in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Deer Park High School in 1959. After graduating, she got married and went to work for Cincinnati Bell, where she worked until she decided to start her family. Sue was a loving and devoted mother to her two sons, Kenneth and Richard, and an adoptive mother to her granddaughter, Melissa.

Sue lived a quiet life. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and shopping for antiques. She loved watching old Western films, and religiously followed her favorite soap opera, Days of our Lives, which she watched daily for nearly 50 years. She always had a matching purse to go with every outfit, and was never seen without her favorite shade of lipstick, Revlon’s Pink in the Afternoon. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed hosting friends and family, most especially over the holidays.

Later in her life she moved to Somerset, Kentucky with her husband, Will Richardson, to live near her favorite place - Cumberland Lake, which she lovingly referred to as “God's Country”. Sue loved to spend her afternoons out on the pontoon boat with her husband. She was a passionate gardener, and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her garden, admiring the beautiful flowers that she tended to so carefully. Her garden was her pride and joy; even during her final days, she would sneak outside to trim her rose bushes when her husband wasn’t looking.

Suzanne was predeceased by her former husband Rastus Ware, her children Kenneth and Richard, her parents Louis and Eileen, and her brother Tony. She is survived by her husband, Williard Richardson, step children Mark and Greg, grandchildren Carrie, Melissa and John, Joseph and Thomas, and her two great grandchildren, Eilijah and Silas.

Suzanne Richardson was a genuinely kind and loving person who wanted nothing more than to do good unto everyone she met. Her loss belongs to everyone fortunate enough to have known her, and she will be deeply missed.
