This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Sylvia McCullough, born on March 15, 1957, and passed away on April 9, 2021. A private celebration of Sylvia's life will take place at a later date.

Sylvia McCullough of Kernersville, NC passed peacefully on Friday, April 9, 2021. She was born on March 15,1957 in Laurens County, SC and raised in Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Janie Davenport of Winston-Salem, NC. A graduate of RJ Reynolds High School, she also attended Winston Salem State University. Her love of literacy, music, crafts, and travel made her truly one-of-a-kind and she passed her appreciation of these activities on to her children. She is survived by her children, son Terell McCullough (Kecia) of Raleigh, NC, daughter Juanita Thacker of Kernersville and granddaughters Kaylen and Logan McCullough. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to the Malloy Jordan/East Winston Heritage Center or the Samaritan Ministries of Forsyth County.
