Sylvia Mittie Hubbard was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio to the proud parents of Lillian and James White. She was the fourth of eight children. Sylvia attended Douglas and Hoffman Elementary Schools, Sawyer Junior High School and Withrow High School, where she graduated in 1974. She sought after a higher education at Edgecliff College where she studied Psychology.
Sylvia had a very strong work ethic where she capitalized on a variety of employment opportunities including St. Margaret Hall, The Juvenile Detention Center (2020), The U.S. Postal Service and Busken Bakery where she became an immaculate cake decorator.
Sylvia was extremely family oriented and protective. She will be remembered for her distinct scent, her love for arts and crafts, movies, seashells, flowers, dancing, cooking, her sense of humor and her “blue water”.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Lillian and James White, siblings Charles, Mary Francis and Bertha and great granddaughter Ja’Maria. She leaves her siblings, James (Gail), William (Vickie), John, and Teresa, three daughters Natasha, Nikesha and Dominique, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, in addition to a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family to cherish her memory.
