In Loving Memory of Sylvia Toepfer

May 9th, 1953 - June 12th, 2023

Sylvia Ofelia Garza Toepfer, age 70, passed away in Centerville, Ohio, on June 12, 2023. Sylvia was born on May 9, 1953, in Hidalgo, Texas, and lived in the Dallas, Texas, area most of her adult life. She started out in the Navy at Virginia Beach, then worked as a Dallas city inspector for many years before retiring. She and Peter had a lot of happy years together in Decatur, and savored their occasional trips to Germany with friends.

She is survived by her loving son, Dominik, his wife, and three grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Sylvia also leaves behind many Garza family members and dear friends who appreciated her wit, laughter and spirituality. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter J. Beshara, her first husband Steven A. Toepfer, siblings and her parents.
