Sylvia Weldon Isbell Dorough, age 82, passed away Thursday morning, February 8.
Sylvia grew up in Chelsea, Alabama, one of six children of Buck and Gladys Isbell.  She loved spending time with her family, cooking, fishing, and traveling.  She spent many years working in the Chelsea community as a postal service rural route carrier.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Crawford Dorough; and her siblings Hoyt Isbell and Sandra Isbell Crawford.  She is survived by her daughters Donna Dorough Strong (Russell) and Tracy Ann Dorough; and her three grandchildren, Shelby, Sophie and James Strong.  
A celebration of Sylvia's life event will be held at the Chelsea Community Center on Saturday, February 24th at 1:30.  Please sign online condolences at https://www.lusainmemorial.com/condolences.htm

Donna, Shelby and Tracy, I am deeply sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to know Sylvia. I enjoyed her wit so much. No matter how bad she felt she always had something funny to say. I will miss her! I am thankful to have met each of you through knowing Sylvia.  She fought valiantly to live. Prayers and love to each of you.
