MrT. I could not bring myself to write this since I heard about your death. It is unfair for a good man like you to be snatched away from us. All through the time I was in Cape Town studying you checked up on me and encouraged me. You were an uplifter, encourager and enabler. All you wanted to see was the progress of all. I am sorry this happened to you. You loved your family and held them in high esteem. I admired you for that. I pray for comfort for Iya as you fondly called her and your beautiful and brilliant boys, each of them with exceptional gifts. Dont worry because I know that all the love and care you gave others during your life time and your work in Christ will surely go back to them. Rest in peace my brother and remember to look down on us still here with that radiant smile of yours.

I'm in shock over the ugly and very sad news of Ur demise sir. On many occasions, I have seen Mr Shobande and wife at events together as best friends and very cheerful people. A complete gentle Man and lover of his family. This news broke my heart...I lack words to describe this. I pray God almighty to show you mercy and grant ur gentle soul eternal rest, amen and also accord Ma Yejide and ur Boys the fortitude and needed strength in this period of grief and mourning ☹️☹️

Miss you Dr T as I have already started calling you. A good man, respectful and diligent. A lover of God and focused individual. Love his family and had good plans for them Man Sho, good night
Posted by Gbenga Gab Omotosho on March 12, 2021
Pa Sho, as I'm fond of calling you. It's hard to believe that your journey would end this soon. Not with the usual assurance of "I'm doing better" "I'll come back with praises".
On the eve of your addmision at LUTH, your confidence was so strong, receiving every words prayers in faith.
Your ill-health would not stop you from extending to others. Not even an excuse for your Chapter not being represented at the just concluded NNC.
So diligent in duty that any assignment with your name, as action party, is as good as done.
You were always at hand to support and encourage me. Ikú o ma d'óró! So I won't hear "kílónselè ègbón" from you again? Not even a parting word on other assignments of the FGBMFI and our baby cooperative society?
Nothing happens that is neither permitted nor directed by God.
We prayed, but I totally submit to His will.
The Lord will uphold your loving and supporting wife, keep your children and comfort the entire family members.

Now that the reality is dawn, oh Lord, i thank You for the life of my brother/friend and ask for the fortitude to accept what I cannot change. May Taiwo's soul be at peace with You.

Adieu my dear friend and aburo.

Dear brother Taiwo Shobande,

You are a good man, with a good heart. Your time here on this side you invested in supporting, encouraging, sharing, giving and showing love to everyone their status notwithstanding.

My family, and the Church of Jesus Christ which i have the privilege to oversee was glad to see you in our midst Sunday morning of December 20, 2020 (you came unannounced while the service was going on) and your words were "I came to identify with you on this task as God laid it upon my heart, kindly have this seed as my own token for the kingdom work'' were your words.

You and I, have had a number of wonderful experience which letters would fail to put together accurately.

You have done well. My Prayer is that God would be with Aunty yejide and the three wise men. They will be comforted and would be blessed from every of your labour and investment in Jesus Precious Name.

You will always be remembered for good.

God will comfort the family, friends, fellowship, community, Church and the Nation at large in Jesus Precious Name!

I still can’t believe you have gone sir T, this handsome man, inside and out,was a wonderful friend and brother to me,supporting me for over the years with his gentle and caring nature. One of his beliefs in life was the importance of being authentic with people, saying what needs to be said because it’s good for the relationship and for the soul.Unfinished business causes pain and having peace is essential for a healthy and joyful life. Also,I always admired how he never judged or forced his opinions on anyone, but offered valuable and truthful advice that I will surely miss.Egbon mi TAIWO shobande May your gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

TeeA,like I usually call you. Your exit is still a massive shock for me. We met at Ogun Poly now Moshood Abiola Poly as classmate in 1988 and our friendship grew over the years, through our days in Banking, to your sojourn in the UK,and return back to Nigeria to start business. In all of this, you are a very reliable, dependable and honest friend and brother. Your relationship with me was built on pure undiluted love. You will always check up on me weekly, even when i was failing in reciprocating same gesture. You so much believe in me to the extent that I find it so hard to let you down or be found on any side against you. When some of our common friends do you wrong, you are never angry, despite my protest and desire that you stand your ground, your response is always to calmly forgive them and let them be. You are a great guy, brother and friend.
TeeA, rest on in the bossom of your maker and my prayers to Yejide and the kids. That God will perfect all that concerns them and HE will fill that vacuum created by your exit
RIP TeeA

A great friend and brother. I'm encouraged that you are with the saints triumphant. Till we meet on that great day, rest well my Egbon, my friend, my brother. RIPP

Uhmmm, Taiwo, writing your tribute is still strange and unbelievable to me.
When your death was announced we were all shocked.
I cried. Who would have believed you would leave us so soon?
I remember when last I saw you at our colleague and friend's mum' burial (Dapo Agbato) after so many years.
The excitement on your face was indescribable.
Thereafter, you would reach out to me occasionally to check on me.
On our Alumni platform you were always very peaceful. You would pacify parties fighting on the platform.
Taiwo I pray the Holy Spirit comfort your dear wife and entire family.
God will give them His beauty for their ashes.
Oil of Joy for their mourning and His garment of Praise for their spirit of heaviness IJMN.
May the Lord grant you eternal rest and shine His perpetual light upon you IJMN.
We shall all miss you my dear Broda.
RIP.

Your demise was a great shock to us, we all missed you and you'll be forever missed Mr. Taiwo Shobande. Till we meet and path no more at the feet of Jesus....Rest on

Mr Taiwo, (egbon or daddy wa) like I always call you. Our path crossed in 2016 February at Daystar Leadership Academy-Lagos. I was the leader of a subgroup that you were in, you liked my leadership style ,supported the group with money for our mini project and afterwards you invited me for a business meeting of the full gospel business men fellowship International, and then our egbon-aburo relationship started. You were always looking out for me,encouraging me, during my master's degree program you were very supportive. Your giving anointing is contagious, you gave even when you don't have much in your account. The people that took advantage of your generosity, you forgave them. Your Leadership style is commendable, you looked over every member of your chapter and was so concern about their welfare. During lockdown you were always calling to check on us. You always advise me to read, I remember the day you invited me upstairs to your library. You were brilliant, you have a very good command of English, you anchor fellowship and district program with poise and panache, you wanted to go for public speaking and broadcast journalism short course, I made enquiries for you and even suggest you joint toast master's international and you were willing to do it. When I volunteered to be your PA sometimes last year, you laughed and said PA without pay, and then you started giving me task to do, too numerous to mention, but I was glad to do them. The last task was sending me to Abuja to represent you at the NNC conference of the full gospel. Till my flight on Thursday morning of 25th, we were still talking and you gave me all necessary information and guidelines, Monday 22nd, I was in the gym when you called giving me briefing of the meeting. we talked for long and I asked how you were feeling, you said "mo wa okay". I was praying for you when you told me few weeks ago that you were not feeling too well and I said I was coming to see you, you said I should call to know your whereabouts, that you might be at Ago-Iwoye. Egbon I was earnestly waiting for you to be confirmed a Dr.(PhD), I was already calling you Dr. Shobande. When I called severally and sent text after the conference and you were not picking nor replying text, I was worried, but I knew all was well. The morning I was informed of your demise, I still sent you a text with a healing scripture, without knowing you have transitioned to glory, but you read it from the other side of eternity.
Only God knows how many times I have called your name unconsciously since you passed on. Your demise really hit me egbon, you left too soon. But I know you are in a better place. I am missing you already sir. RIP( Return if possible). Goodnight babaT, till we meet on the resurrection morning.

I know can now truly say "Am happy" in the bosom of our Lord.
Yejide, the boys, your egbons and aburos on Shobande and Akoni side and all your adopted family will truly miss you.
All I can say is "Oye Olorun"

Daddy I never believed that you will leave us on that faithful day. It happened like a movie and now you are no where to be found. The legacies you left behind and the unity you always bring amongst your family will never be forgotten, I promise to start from where you stopped dad. Having you as a father was the best experience I ever had. Daddy I feel pain when ever I remember that you did not wait to eat from my hustle after all your struggles to see me and my brothers through school. You were a man of peace, honour and dignity. May the Almighty Lord grant your Peaceful and gentle soul rest in his vine yard Amen. Love you plenty Daddy.

I still can't believe you're gone. You didn't even give us the chance to repay you for everything you've done for us. You have sacrificed so much for us. You didn't even get to enjoy life because your life was dedicated to helping people. You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return. Fine, we had some misunderstandings BUT I am who I am today because of God and YOU. You are my hero. It hurts so much my incomparable brother to see you gone so soon and I don't know if I will ever get over your passing. I still can’t believe I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment, but if this is the last time I get to say goodbye then I know I will do so with the knowledge that I consider myself blessed to have lived this life around YOU..........Your sudden death came as a rude shock. We did not expect it and we wish we had more time to continue to appreciate you. You were and will always be an inspiration to myself, the entire family and anyone you came-across. You have left a void in the family that will never be filled. Your memories will remain in my heart forever until we meet again. God in His infinite wisdom knows best. May Our Lord comfort and sustain the family, your wife and children now and always. May God Almighty keep you safe resting in perfect peace till resurrection day... AMEN.

I will forever miss you my dear brother. You showed me a lot of things.
I learned a lot I didn’t know,
But you forgot to teach me one last thing –
How to let you go.
I know you didn’t mean to leave me;
Sometimes we have no choice.
I miss being your little brother
Hearing my name called by your voice.
I wish I got to say “I Love You”
Before you were given to the sky.
If God could grant me one last wish,
I’d ask to say “Goodbye.”
You always meant a lot to me.
I could never love you less,
I know it’s true when they say,
“He only takes the best.”

Rest in peace egbon mi owon.
