Mr Taiwo, (egbon or daddy wa) like I always call you. Our path crossed in 2016 February at Daystar Leadership Academy-Lagos. I was the leader of a subgroup that you were in, you liked my leadership style ,supported the group with money for our mini project and afterwards you invited me for a business meeting of the full gospel business men fellowship International, and then our egbon-aburo relationship started. You were always looking out for me,encouraging me, during my master's degree program you were very supportive. Your giving anointing is contagious, you gave even when you don't have much in your account. The people that took advantage of your generosity, you forgave them. Your Leadership style is commendable, you looked over every member of your chapter and was so concern about their welfare. During lockdown you were always calling to check on us. You always advise me to read, I remember the day you invited me upstairs to your library. You were brilliant, you have a very good command of English, you anchor fellowship and district program with poise and panache, you wanted to go for public speaking and broadcast journalism short course, I made enquiries for you and even suggest you joint toast master's international and you were willing to do it. When I volunteered to be your PA sometimes last year, you laughed and said PA without pay, and then you started giving me task to do, too numerous to mention, but I was glad to do them. The last task was sending me to Abuja to represent you at the NNC conference of the full gospel. Till my flight on Thursday morning of 25th, we were still talking and you gave me all necessary information and guidelines, Monday 22nd, I was in the gym when you called giving me briefing of the meeting. we talked for long and I asked how you were feeling, you said "mo wa okay". I was praying for you when you told me few weeks ago that you were not feeling too well and I said I was coming to see you, you said I should call to know your whereabouts, that you might be at Ago-Iwoye. Egbon I was earnestly waiting for you to be confirmed a Dr.(PhD), I was already calling you Dr. Shobande. When I called severally and sent text after the conference and you were not picking nor replying text, I was worried, but I knew all was well. The morning I was informed of your demise, I still sent you a text with a healing scripture, without knowing you have transitioned to glory, but you read it from the other side of eternity.
Only God knows how many times I have called your name unconsciously since you passed on. Your demise really hit me egbon, you left too soon. But I know you are in a better place. I am missing you already sir. RIP( Return if possible). Goodnight babaT, till we meet on the resurrection morning.
