Talia Joy Castellano - Rest In Peace

October 2, 2013

Talia Joy Castellano, i personally didn't know. I can tell you this, she is truly an inspiration. She was born August 16th, 1999.

Talia sadly was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of seven. After five years of chemo, surgeries, special treatments, and multiple relapses, Talia was diagnosed with a secondary form of cancer, MDS preleukemia. The doctors had then told her they could not cure her two cancers, but she continued to take treatments, hoping to slow down the cancer.

Somewhere in 2011, in betweem the heartbreaking news, Talia decided she wanted to make YouTube make-up tutorials. She was diagnosed with two forms of cancer, losing her hair, knowing there was no cure; but Talia embraced bald. She didnt let the cancer get the best of her. She hated wearing wigs, and would alays say "Make-Up is my wig. I admire her for that. She wanted to live her life to the fullest with no worries or regrets

Talia was also featured on The Ellen Show and was made an honorary COVERGIRL. Ellen had asked her how she was to stay so positive, and her words were, “A little fishy told me to ‘just keep swimming.’” That was said specifically for Ellen, seeing that she was the voice of Dory, from Finding Nemo. Ellen also asked Talia to be her personal correspondent for the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas where she interviewed starts like Usher, Gwen Stephanie and No Doubt, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Miranda Lambert, Ryan Seacrest and Jason Aldean.

Talia had millions of followers on Social Medias such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and so on. She was always a happy girl who loved dancing, doing make-up, painting her nails, texting, fashion, music, shopping, going to the beach, and much more. She taught many people that they shouldn’t take life for granted, because it can be so easily taken away from you with no warning. Also, even though your life might be in a tough spot that in the end, it will always get better. If it’s not better, then it’s not the end.

Talia was the voice for cancer patients, the voice sometimes that couldn’t be spoken, only thought. She brought smiles to faces, even in her darkest times. She’s truly an inspiration for many people, not just those with cancer. Her words are still spoken all over the world, over social media, over memorial websites, and in our daily lives. Talia is my inspiration for all those reasons, and so much more. She is very talented, fun, and joyful. Honestly once I found out about her I knew I just wanted to meet her. Talia Joy Castellano sadly gained her wings at 11:22am, July 16th 2013. She will still be remembered, there’s no doubt in that. Her family made a vow to fulfill everything Talia had created on her bucket list.
