Leave a TributeYou are FOREVER IN MY HEART.
Hope you’re doing well,

We only knew each other for a short period of time, but in that time I got to witness your glow and joy. Your love of your son and love of life. I'll never forget some of the wonderful times we shared with each other. You were my favorite 'mommy' in our new mommies group. Now my sister is up in Heaven with you. Maybe you have gotten to know each other? I hope you are sharing some laughs. I wish you all of the live in the world on today the anniversary of your death.
Much love, Amanda Houck

I am in Kenya and it is only now that I am hearing of Tammie's passing. I remember with fondness her bright smile, but most of all the love and affection you two shared for so many years. You were truly blessed to have had one another. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I was so sorry to hear of Tammie's passing. My condolences are with you and your son. You have created a beautiful tribute to her. Our thoughts are with you.

Note to self: Don't play cards with Tammie :)
I had the privilege of meeting Tammie just once, I played a card game called Cheat (AKA BS) with her and some others. She was sooooo good at this game that she just learned about! When it was over, Tammie had cards under her chair, in her shirt, just everywhere. She said "I'm glad this game is over cos I have had to go to the bathroom for a while". When she stood up, cards fell out of her jeans! Really cool girl.
Tammie's ability to talk you into anything
There was a happy hour at a new bar opening. I get there early, and I see these sumo wrestling padded outfits. I said "I don't care how drunk I get, I'm not putting one of those things on. I am content in my thoughts. Tammie comes breezing in and right away she tells me, "Brenda, you've got to do this." "Oh no, Tammie, not me. "Well, Brenda, she says, you've never done it before. You've got to try it." "No Tammie, I'm not doing it" After about 5 more minutes of her talking, I'm crawling into one of those sweaty Sumo outfits, waiting for an opponent. Tammie, my biggest cheerleader convincing me this is a fabulous idea. Well, I got an opponent, Tom Stromer, a little guy. Tammie's going "you can take him, he's little." I'm pumped. I didn't take him, and suffered a slight concussion as a result. Tammie helped up up, and helped me out of the outfit. I was only mad at her for a minute, because the subject was changed to the next ridiculous antic that I could attempt.
It was such a privilege to have known Tammie. She was so down to earth, funny and kind. We had many fun times together during playdates with our mom's group. (Some of the playdates were without the babies at a local pub on a Friday night :) ). This picture was taken during our little ones' first birthday party, and I love the way Tammie and Myles look so happy. I will always remember the fun Myles and his mommy had together. What a great mom she was!
