Her Life
June 21, 2012

Tammy Stone was born on January 21, 1970 at Warm Spring Memorial Hospital in Warm Springs, GA to the late Fletcher Stone and Lillian Stone. She was the fifth child of seven children that include 6 sisters and 1 brother. She stood up as a big sister and was very protective. Tammy watched out for her younger sister and brother and even at times she may have been afraid herself, she put fear aside and let the courage in her show. She enjoyed being to herself in her spare time and she had dreams that she had hope to fulfill…  She joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age.

Tammy attended and graduated from Greenville High School in 1988 and later pursued to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. Even though she didn’t complete her studies, she began keeping children of the family and friends. She had this special love for kids. Whether they were good or bad, it didn’t matter. She would deny herself and any plans she would have planned just to keep the kids. Tammy  would have this feeling that it was a must to have all children under her care. You wouldn’t understand unless you really knew her and even got to know her. Because she was great at what she did with the kids, we tip our hats off to her knowing there will never be another provider like Tammy.

Tammy touched many kids’ lives with her Tenderness, love, and care; her Acceptance of kids; her Mercy upon people; being a Mother to all; and Yielding for the safe keeping of the children. Over the years what she did for our children and even some outside the family, no school can ever teach it…no school can ever teach a person how to love and take care of a child.--truly from the heart. YOU MUST HAVE A LOVING HEART AND THIS WE KNEW TAMMY HAD. One can have the highest of degrees but what good is it if you don’t have the greatest gift to give, LOVE.
