Ted Wayne Parker, 70, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at his home.
A native of Granville County, he was the son of the late James Elbert Parker.  Ted was of the Baptist faith and retired as a service technician after twenty-five years of service at Creedmoor Fuel Service.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor.  Burial will be private.
Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Gloria Boyd Parker of the home; his mother, Louise Currin Hobson of Yanceyville; a daughter, Angela Parker of Rougemont;  a sister, Ann Parker Carpentier of Yanceyville; two brothers, Jimmy Parker (Jane) of Youngsville and Howard Hobson, Jr. (Jennifer) of Yanceyville; three grandchildren, Adam Parker (Katie), Angel Gallagher and Alexis Gallagher.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Brent Parker; brother-in-law, George Carpentier; and grandparents, John & Lizzie Currin.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:45 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times the home of his daughter, Angela Parker.

Gloria & Angela, So sorry to hear about Ted's passing. He was one of a kind and he was good to our family and my mother on lightning the heater! My prayer for you and your family is that God will give you peace and understanding today and the days ahead. He will be miss by his family and all the Creedmoor Fuel Customers!!! Love you!
