Tedros Mentesinot getu was born in Asmara, on October 1st, 1976. He attended Mekane Yesus Elementary School then Minilik High School. After high school, he attended Ambo Agricultural College until he migrated to the United States in 1997.

After Teddy settled in San Jose, he worked for Atmel, IBM and other companies to support himself, his parents and relatives. In addition, Teddy had a goal to further his education. Afterwards, he attended IBT in Santa Clara and obtained a Diploma in Medical Assistant Phlebotomy. Teddy was working at the San Jose International Airport as a shuttle driver before he passed away.

Teddy was a very humble, polite and dedicated person. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Teddy is survived by his mother Yezena Negusie, Father Mentesinot Getu and his sister Tigest Mentesinot getu. He will join his brother Daniel Mentesinot with our Lord and Savior.
