Terena Renee Taylor, age 52 of Dayton, OH was born May 17, 1969 to Stanley and Patricia Taylor. “Nino” as she was affectionately called by loved ones was a graduate of Belmont High School, Class of 1987. After graduation she worked in retail for a while then later employed by the Dayton Board of Education Head Start. Terena had a passion for children and was always babysitting or having sleep overs at her home with someone else’s child. Terena attended Phillips Temple Church as a child.
Terena was blessed with a son whom she called her miracle baby and loved unconditionally. She was high spirited, a people person, never bit her tongue and quick to let you know that she was “Terena”. She was also called Auntie, Sister and Grandma by many who were around her.
On Sunday, November 7, 2021 Terena transitioned from this life peacefully at Miami Valley Hospital with her son, sister and nephew by her side, to be in the presence of the Lord. She was preceded in death by: her father, Stanley L. Taylor, Sr.; brother, Stanley L. Taylor, Jr.; aunt, Sharon Ivory; maternal grandparents, Elton and Lucille Ivory; paternal grandfather, Fred Taylor, Sr.
Terena leaves to cherish fond memories and celebrate her life; her only son, Tyrique Hicks; (1) granddaughter, Ty’Lynn Hicks; special daughter she was raising and loved dearly, Remedy; loving mother, and step-father, Patricia and Joseph Love; (2) sisters, Chetuan Asenah Taylor and Carmen Thompson; (1) brother, Stanfford (Sera) Taylor, Sr.; grandmother, Myrtle Champion; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and too many friends to mention. Terena will truly be missed by everyone who was in her life.

We will miss our dear cousin, but will cherish the beautiful memories. The family generations of yesterday, today, and tomorrow are filled with memories and storytelling: love and happiness, joy and pain, laughter and sorrow. Most of all, a legacy is left behind to fill the void of many who will miss you dearly.

Rest in the bosom of Abraham. Your soul returns to The Most High Yahweh.

Rest until Yeshua returns.
