Mrs. Teresa Daniels-Smith, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2022 at the age of 58, at Kettering Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded by her family during her final days. She was the best mom and Mamaw that anyone could have asked for and she will be greatly missed.
Teresa was born May 11th, 1964, to parents Homer and Joann Tiller in Tazewell, Virginia. She moved to Fairborn at a young age. She graduated Park Hills High School in 1982. After high school, she entered Cosmetology School, graduating in 1984. Teresa started her career in Cosmetology, specializing in hair care, where she worked in for over 20 years. Teresa had four children. In 2000, she reunited with her high school sweetheart, Timothy Smith. She moved to Pensacola, Florida in 2001, and soon became a stay-at-home mom. Teresa and Tim married in 2003 and had a long and loving marriage until Tim’s passing in 2020. In early 2022, she returned to Fairborn to be closer to her parents and brother.
Teresa enjoyed spending time and playing games with her family and friends. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 917 that met at the Fairborn Moose Lodge 1068. She enjoyed going to play bingo and always said she was “very lucky” when she played. Teresa enjoyed camping and fishing with her friends. She was a proud mother, but an even prouder Mamaw. Her grandchildren were her whole world. If you knew Teresa, you know she loved to make people laugh. She was always there for a good joke, or shoulder in need. She loved fiercely and never met a stranger. She was very generous and will always be remembered for her generosity and willingness to help everyone. She was also a cat lover and had two cats, Lola and Groucho.
She is survived by her Mother, Joann Tiller; Brother, Mark Tiller; Children, Heather Chaffin (Bryan), James Daniels, Tina Platon (James), and Lyndon Smith; 9 grandchildren, Toby, Chloe, Isaac, Aiden, Emma, Owen, Zoey, Charlotte, Elukai; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and good friend David Burton.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Smith, her father, Homer Tiller, and her grandchildren, Landon and Arabella.
The family would like to convey a special “Thank You” for the care that Teresa received from Soin Medical Center and Kettering Medical Center ICU medical staff prior to her passing.
There will be a small celebration of life planned for a future date to be determined. The family will notify friends and family when arrangements have been made.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida.

To her Family I hope you find peace in your hearts. I remember her first at Dairy Oueen my sister and her and me. We all would make new ideals with ice cream and eat them and joke. Than I found out she went to Beauty school a year before I did and ended up at the same place Pro-Kut. She was a very good hairdresser and good friend. When my son was little her brothers wife babie set for my son. Beautiful Family. I will truly miss her she was an angle. Now she is with the angels in heaven ❤️
