The first time I met Terry I was a little shy. (Yes, me shy). He was sitting at the kitchen table when they lived on Farlinger in Morrisburg. He looked at me and said with his deep voice "who are you and do you have a home?" I didnt know what to say. I was nervous. All of the sudden Terry stood up. I realized I was taller then him and no longer felt nervous. After that, they couldn't keep me away.

Sue and I quickly became bestfriends and I started calling him and Elaine dad and mom. They always made me feel at home.

Terry was a truck driver and I've always wanted to go in a transport so Terry offered me to go on a Montreal run. I was so excited. We had so much fun. Laughed most of the time. On that run a man said to Terry, "you brought your daughter." "He said she's my adopted daughter" lol. I think the guy believed him.

When I got older I had some problems at home. Terry told me I'm staying with them until things get better. A few wks later I moved home. I still continued to go to their house daily.

I am now 40 yrs old and Terry still said I was his adopted daughter.

Just at Sue's Christmas dinner Terry and I talked about it. He told me he was proud of me and glad I'm with my husband Ben. Hearing him say that made my day. Due to work I didnt know if I'd be able to make it to that dinner. I am so glad I did. Before that dinner it has been a couple yrs since I saw Terry. I still heard about him all the time from Sue.

The day before Terry passed away he made a smart ass comment under one of my pics on Facebook. My reply was bite me lol. At first I felt bad that was my last words to him but then I thought, he laughed when he saw that comment. Everyone here knows Terry loved to laugh.

Terry had all 3 of his daughters at that Christmas dinner. Amy, Laura and Susan. He loved them unconditionally. His grandchildren also. He loved picking on them lol.

I am so thankful for Terry being a part of my life. I thank Sue for that. If not for her I wouldn't have known one of the greatest men there is.

Love you Terry (dad)

Always loved and never Forgotten.

Cheers to Terry
