Terri Lynn Cunningham-Postway transitioned peacefully on Saturday April 8th, 2023, with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 9th, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to Mildred Cunningham-Barr and Jesse Cunningham.

Terri grew up in Dayton where she accepted Christ at an early age. She was the oldest of three siblings and she set a great academic example for her younger siblings. Her sister Carmen recalls Terri grasping academic material at first glance and says it was as if Terri had a photogenic memory; therefore, Carmen often looked up to her big sister. Terri also had a resilient spirit; therefore she learned how to manage and overcome whatever challenges she faced in life.

Terri graduated from Dunbar High School in 1978. After graduation she explored her options, took the civil service exams and passed the Army, Navy, Marines, and Airforce exams with flying colors; but, decided to further her education at Central State University where she earned an associates degree, in the medical field.

She had an adventurous and brave spirit, therefore, she relocated to Tallahassee, Florida and explored her career options. While in Florida, she gained employment in the medical field, at a local hospital. She resided in Florida for a short period of time, before she then transitioned back to Ohio, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Terri was preceded in death by her Husband Terrance Postway, Father Jesse Cunningham, Sister Lena Barr, Grandmothers Ruth Skelton and Lena Bell, Uncles Sylvester McNeil, Walter McNeil and Marvin Fugate, and Aunt DeLoris Winslow.
She leaves to cherish her daughter Stephanie Cunningham and three grandchildren Tiera Hines, Alysia and Alijah Webb, her mother Mildred Cunningham-Barr, Sister Carmen Cunningham, Aunts and Uncles Marilyn Florence, Zelretta Williams (Clarence) Debra Skelton, Thomas Fugate (Marcia) and a host of other family members and friends.
