Terrlyn Gibson (Blount) known to the family as Lovey was born on July 31, 1959 in Cuthbert, GA to Minnie Woods and Willie Paul Blount.
Terrlyn and her family moved to Newark, NJ at an early age. She attended Malcom X Shabazz High School in Newark, NJ where she participated in the Man Power program, provided her an opportunity to take art and sewing classes at Arts High School Newark, NJ.
Terrlyn held various jobs throughout the years. She worked in the Healthcare industry as a nursing assistant in Syracuse, NY, a dietary assistant at Newark Health, Newark, NJ and as a cashier at Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ.
Terrlyn moved to Lakewood, New Jersey where she married her husband Donald Gibson who preceded her in death.
She was a very outgoing person who enjoyed painting, sewing, and drawing. Terrlyn was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Lakewood, NJ where the late Rev. Clayton was pastor. There she used her talent of sewing to create costumes for the church Christmas plays and also helped with their food bank program.
She later became a member at Harmony Ministries, Lakehurst, NJ under the guidance of Pastor Owen L. Alston. There she enjoyed going to bible study and attending Sunday services.
Terrlyn leaves precious memories to be cherished by her loving daughter Leeanne Pennant, Son-in-Law Shane Pennant, her mother Minnie Woods, her father Willie Paul Blount. Her three sisters Angela Clemons, Kathy Woods-Johnson, and Gloria Baker. Two brother-in-laws Henry Johnson, Jr. and Alfred Baker. Her mother-in-law Oscarine Gibson. She was predeceased by one brother, Larry Blount and leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
