A TRIP TO PORT DALHOUSIE

Shared by TIM JOHNSEN on February 6, 2011

I REMEMBER HEADING OUT WITH TERRY ON A HOT SUMMER AFTERNOON FOR  A RIDE ON OUR ELECTRIC SCOOTERS  TO A PLACE HERE IN ST.CATHARINES WITH ITS OWN NAME-OLD PORT DALHOUSIE.

THIS PLACE IS PRETTY COOL ITS GOTTA GREAT BEACH AND THE WORLDS OLDEST ORIGINAL WOOD CARVED MERRY-GO-ROUNDS. TERRY AND I LIKED GOING DOWN THERE CUZ IT WAS COOL BY THE WATER PLUS THEY HAD A GREAT PIER THAT TERRY LIKED DRIVING ON TALKING TO THE DIFFERENT PEOPLE FISHING.

ONE DAY  WE PROCEEDED TO TRAVEL TO PORT DALHOUSIE  AND WERE ALMOST THERE WHEN I NOTICED SOMETHING ON THE SIDEWALK AHEAD THAT CAUGHT OUR EYES, I PULLED UP TO IT AND FOUND THAT IT WAS A FAIRLY DESCENT FLIP PHONE, TERRY SAID NA ITS NOT WORKING THOUGH.... WELL I FLIPPED IT OPEN AND DIALED A NUMBERAND GUESS WHAT?  IT WORKED I QUICKLY CLOSED IT AND TOLD TERRY ,,,,HE SAID ...COOL LETS GO TO PORT TO HAVE SOME FUN.

WE WENT  ON THE PIER AT PORT DALHOUSIE  AND TERRY SAID TIM LET ME SEE THE PHONE,,,, TERRY PHONED LONG DISTANCE TO HUNTSVILLE AND TOLD EM WE WERE IN ST,CATHARINES BY THE WATER BY OUR BOAT

THEN IT HAPPENED  THE PHONE CONTINUED TO RING ON CALL WAITING SO TERRY LOOKED AT ME I LOOKED AT HIM I SAID ANSWER IT SO HE DID...LOL A REALLY WEIRD LADY WAS TELLING TERRY SHE HAD LOST THE PHONE SO TERRY STARTED TALKING LIKE HE WAS VERY VERY THICK ACSCENTED GERMAN AND STARTING ASKING HER ABOUT WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE, WAS SHE SINGLE , DID SHE WANNA DATE ETC ETC .

YOU KNOW HE HUNG UP 3 TIMES, 3XS SHE CALLED BACK AND EACH TIME TERRY LET ON HE WAS SOMEONE ELSE IT WAS HILARIOUS

FINALLY HE HOT TIRED OF HER KEPT CALLING SO HE SHUT THE PHONE BUT IT WAS STILL RINGING AND PITCHED IN THE WATER, IT BUBLED AND YOU COULD STILL HERE IT RINGING  IT WAS REALLY FUNNY.

GONNA MISS THOSE TRIPS ON OUR SCOOTERS CUZ IT WAS ALWAYS A HILARIOUS JOURNEY WE WENT ON
