Terry Lee Overstreet, age 67, of Birmingham, AL, passed away peacefully January 21, 2024 after a hard fought battle with heart and kidney disease.

Terry was born on May 30,1956 to William Overstreet Jr. and Peggy Caldwell Overstreet Church of Birmingham. Terry graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1972. He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Samford University and began a lifelong career as a registered nurse. He served the Birmingham area well for many years and was able to retire as what most would consider a healthcare hero.

In addition to being an incredible healthcare worker, he was committed to years of ministry where he touched many lives for the Kingdom of God. He spent years in youth ministry in various churches in the Birmingham Metro area, where he was most known and admired for his beautiful voice, leading worship ministry.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, William Overstreet Jr., his mother, Peggy Caldwell Overstreet, and his brother, Stephen Overstreet. He is survived by his daughter, Holley Martin (David), grandchildren Izzy and Levi Martin, brothers, Bill Overstreet (Allyson), Randy Overstreet (Sandra) and sister, Tina Welch, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless beloved family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at The Church at Liberty Park, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. The church is located at 12001 Liberty Parkway, Birmingham, AL 35242 - There will be a reception following the service at the church for everyone who would like to have an opportunity to speak with the family.
