JOY is a choice
Houston had beautiful, sunny weather the week before mom passed. The following two days were gray; maybe the world was mourning...but her joyful spirit lives on!
MOM brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. No matter the situation, choose joy! Her loving spirit has been an inspiration.
...smiling, cheerful, always interested in every one...she was a devoted mom and her family was always first in her life, even above herself.
I thank some of moms' angels here on earth (and mine) for great care of Mom; Donya, Paulette, Noura, Tricia, Vivianne, Karen, Aunt Jody, Debbie; Jed, Eusebia and the Atria Staff.
"I think I can"
One of my earliest remembrances of Moms devotion, was to reading. And, one of those books was The Little Train Who Could…Mom was always an encourager, to study, to read, to be polite.
She never gave up on anyone and always wanted us to do our best. She loved me and everyone else she met. This last year I watched her with a bent spine, working as hard as she could to get stronger. It encouraged her physical therapists. The nurses loved her too. Texas Belle is who she was. We shall miss her, but her encouragements will be cherished.
