His Life

Buddy

June 13, 2011

On June 13, 1958, Anna and Thadius (T.R.) III Hudgins welcomed their 5lb 16oz baby boy into the world. Being the 2nd child of 4 and the oldest boy, Buddy loved the outdoors. While growing up he enjoyed spending time with his uncles who would take him hunting and fishing, traits that Buddy enjoyed up until his last days. Buddy also liked playing with his older sister Ronda and younger brother Kenny. When referiring to his youngest sibling Tammy, Buddy said, "It was nice when she was a baby, she couldn't talk back." He very much loved all three of his siblings, cousins, and entire family. "He liked to take things apart to see how they worked" was what his father stated when looking back on Buddy's childhood; "He was a very happy baby and child" his mother often said. Buddy was a 1976 Graduate of Central High School. In his yearbook he put down his Hobbie's were: Motorcycle tiding, hunting, and fishing. His Favorite saying was: "I'm not as dumb as you look." (Which he said quite often to everyone, even recently). Other than hunting and fishing Buddy enjoyed bowling (which he was very good at), camping, playing softball, fantasy football, coaching Central's football team, and volunteering at Edinburg Fire Company. "I remember he used to always brag about how Edinburg would get to a Woodstock call before Woodstock's Fire dept was there....they were worthless as he put it." his daughter Krissy said looking back on an old story. At the age of 23 he married for the first time to Robin Fridely, and the two had one child born on July 19, 1986 named Kristin "Krissy" Renee' Hudgins. Buddy loved to work, and working was somthing he was good at. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter as much he could wheather it be a trip through that car wash or dinner at sheetz or McDonlad's  he was always able to make those Father/Daughter days extra special. He was always waiting there as soon as I got home from school, every Wednesday was our day. We would watch a little t.v. and hit the town and do whatever I wanted to do; he told all his friends they were his dates with the most beautiful blonde in the entire world. I wasn't spoiled by my dad, sometimes I wonder if instead I was daddy's little boy, instead of daddy's little girl, because he treated me no different than a father would a son." stated Krissy.
