The Danger and Tragedy

March 19, 2016

Follow this link and learn about the whale suicides of Hugo and Nami.

These are two tragic stories of the result that can come from captivity. Both Hugo and Nami were captured wild and placed in concrete tanks. After being unable to stand their captivity, they grew sick and passed away.

Their lives mirror so many other Orcas that are still suffering in captivity around the world. Many are still being bred, seperated from their young, and forced to perform for human entertainment like slaves.

Let us, the millenial generation, be the ones to bring about change and empty the tanks. Many will become heartbroken and inspired by the lives of whales like Hugo, Nami, and Tilikum. There is still hope for these mystical creatures, and we must listen to their cries for help.
