Mrs. Pool passed away peacefully July 21, 2013, after a long convalescence at Lanier Nursing Home in Valley, Alabama.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, July 24, from 6:00 PM EDT to 8:00 PM EDT at McCarthy Funeral Home in West Point, Georgia.
Graveside Service will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama on Thursday, July 25, at 11:00 AM EDT.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Lanett, Alabama, at 11:30 AM EDT following the graveside service. Reverend Rusty Williams will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Chattahoochee Hospice, Inc. #6 Medical Park North, Valley, Alabama 36854 or the First United Methodist Church of Lanett, 508 South 6th Street, Lanett, Alabama, 36863.

I was Mary Powell when I worked with Billie for some 27 years at the Cotton Dept. She was a diligent worker, a good person and fun to be around. I saw her at Lanier Nursing Home several weeks ago, but had not managed to get back. I am so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you as you go through this trying time.

I used to live on south 6th ave. when I was growing up and worked with her husband in Lanett Mill during the summers. My condolences to all the family, may God give you strength and comfort during your time of sorrow. God bless you all!!
