My Guardian Angel

March 26, 2011

There are so many stories...and I'm not sure where to begin, so I'll just start somewhere. When I was little my mom would always tell me how much she wanted to have a little girl. She tried three times, and finally the fourth time, she got her wish. I know I probably wasn't the "girly-girl" type she was hoping for, but what could she expect with me having three older brothers. Haha. Growing up with her was so much fun. I always loved going anywhere with her. Sometimes I'd just go to work with her, just to spend time with her. She was such a loving person. I remember one day we were at her work. Someone had dropped a full grown chocolate lab there and drove off. Of course, me being the child I was, I instantly bonded with her. When the spca came to pick her up, I started to cry. So my mom told them to leave, and she let me take her home. She would always do anything she could just to make us happy. I remember if there was anything that I wanted, and she had the money, that would be the first thing that she'd get for me. And even when she didn't have the money, she still found a way to get it. She always expressed her love for all of her children, even when we were "rotten little shits." She was so proud of all of us for graduating high school, and I never thought I'd see her as happy as she was. It was amazing. The whole room just lit up whenever she smiled at me.

Mom, I'm so sorry that we didn't have the opportunity to party for my 21st birthday, but I promise when I turn 21 I'll make sure I'm thinking of you and having one hell of a party, and hopefully you'll be watching down from Heaven enjoying the day with me. I will miss you until the day we meet again. And I hope you know how many people are waiting for the day to see you again. I love you with all of my heart, and you will never be forgotten. Ever.

I love you, Mom.
