Mom, I can't believe it's a year already that you are gone. I keep expecting you to call me or walk in the door. I miss you so much. I hope that you are resting in peace and I pray for you every day. It's so hard to live without my best friend in my life, but I'm trying. I love you from here to eternity. God bless you my dear Mom! ❤ Forever in my heart.

My dear Mom! Although you are gone from this world, I still feel you around me. I hope that I am living up to everything you wanted for me. And I hope you are proud of how well your Jen and KC are doing too! I miss you terribly. I am so sorry that your life was cut short by this damn virus COVID-19! But I am so grateful for all the time I spent with you. It was a privilege to take care of you and I was so glad I could be a comfort to you in your final hours. I know you were afraid, but I am grateful I could offer you some comfort by being there for you. I love you so much Mom. Thank you for all that you have done for me. You were my rock that grounded me. I am currently feeling a float without you, but I will try to be like you and pray for comfort. I love you forever and a day!

Her Life

Theresa Iacovelli, Manchester, NJ 4/17/1930 - 4/19/2020

April 20, 2020
Theresa Iacovelli, nee Infurna of Manchester, NJ these past few years,  but lived the majority of her life in Jackson, NJ and was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 17, 1930, passed peacefully in her sleep with her daughter Joanne and Joanne's husband Dave and granddaughter Jennifer by her side on April 19, 2020. Theresa was able to see her 90th Birthday with all of her family and friends surrounding her.  She was another unfortunate victim of the COVID-19 virus.  Her life was one of prayer, worship and servitude.  She gave of herself unconditionally to all she loved. Theresa was a world traveler and visited many Christian landmarks in Spain, Poland, France and Italy to name a few. She spent many hours of volunteer work as a Rosarian, held many different offices in the Disabled American Veteran's Auxillary, Veteran's of Foreign Wars and the AMVETS. She was also active in the Boy Scouts when her son's were younger.  She had a smile for everyone and was always ready to break out her Rosary beads and pray for anyone in need.  And her prayers were powerful and always answered! In her later years she kept busy making baptismal bibs for her church and knitting for the less fortunate.  She was big on contributing to Christian Non-Profits and was the most devoted person I know to Jesus! Her favorite past times were reading, crocheting, knitting, cooking and watching Korean drama's on the computer. She was an active Facebook poster and all who met her loved her.  But her ultimate favorite thing in the world was being with family! She will be painfully missed by her children and grandchildren but forever in our hearts.

She is predeceased by her dearly loved husband Anthony Iacovelli, her dear first born son Norman, her parents, Vincent and Jennie Infurna, her sister Laura Infurna, her brother Nat Infurna and her great grandson Antino Iacovelli.  She is survived by her dear daughters Joanne Iacovelli and her husband David Lemmon, Valerie Baist and her  husband Robert Baist and her baby boy Vincent Iacovelli and his wife Kristina Iacovelli and daughter-in-law Andrea Auriemma.  She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Iacovelli, Jennifer F. Batzel, Daniel Iacovelli, K.C. Batzel, Vincent Iacovelli, Christopher Baist, Shawn Baist, Chelsea Baist and Brianna Iacovelli. Also by her great grandchildren, Anthony Iacovelli, Adrianna Iacovelli, Vanessa Iacovelli and Daniel Iacovelli.

Funeral arrangements are in care of Lakewood Funeral Home, Howell, NJ and because of this awful COVID-19 virus a memorial will be held at a later date to be determined.  Theresa will be laid to rest with her dear husband Anthony at Brigadier General Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. Private service.

A circle of life

April 21, 2020
Mr. and Mrs. I. were such an amazing, loving couple.  My husband Art, lived up the street from them as a teen and became fast friends with their son Vinny.  The family suffered and Mrs. I.'s heart was broken at the loss of her dear Tony.  Yet she carried on, becoming a rock for her family.  We would see the family gather together and enjoy how loving and welcoming they all were.  Her son, Vinny, and his wife Krissy, were best man and matron of honor at our wedding, cementing the bond that we would always feel for this wonderful family.  But that circle did not stop there.  After my father passed we found that there was another portion of the circle that connected us back to this beautiful family.   Their cousin, Georgina, was married to Giz and unbeknownst to me, they had been close friends of my father.  After losing touch for many years, they found one another again and were able to pick their friendship right back up.  So it must be a family kind of thing, that keeps each generation within the circle, because even now, our children have become friends as well.

The memories Art and I share of the family are special.  Mrs. I., in her kind and gentle way, challenged us all to be better.  She was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed by all she touched.

With love,
The Tomuccio Family
