I saw Theresa as I was growing up but, unfortunately, did not get to know her very well. But I know she came from a family that I could not possibly hold in higher esteem. I wish peace and comfort to Glen, Jackie, Deedee and all of you mourning her passing. May the love of family and friends surround you.

Theresa will always be TC to me❤, since we were the closest cousins in age we bonded! Since I was the oldest and got to drive first she always looked forward to us getting away from all our younger siblings, talking about our dreams and just enjoying each other's company and conquering the world. I was envious of her incredible sewing talent, she was so creative! I remember being so proud of her when she won awards for her business career. I'm not sure she ever understood her worth to us who loved her but also to anyone who knew her. I will always remember her beautiful smile, cute dimples, and twinkling eyes!! Love and miss you always Cuz❤

I only worked with Theresa a short time, before I left the company. But we kept in touch, well more than that we talked all the time and became friends. We found during our conversations we shared the same personality. We may not call everyone friend we just play close to the vest :) Theresa's smile would light up the darkest of room. Her demeanor never changed even when faced with negativity. I was learning from her to be the same. Although our new friendship was cut short I will miss her as if we were friends for decades. I will miss our plans we made to visits thrift stores after covid and lunch to talk about the cool finds we obtained. I miss you something awful, may you rest easy my friend

To Theresa family: Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.

Theresa and I worked together for 3 years. She was instrumental in helping me start my practices. She was always so kind with all our patients, honest and hard working. I am grateful for her help and she is in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace, Theresa!

My family (the Durhams) had the joy of being close neighbors as Theresa grew up. She was a most delightful little girl and cared deeply about others.
My mom recalls tucking Theresa and Deedee into bed at her home as Glenn and Jack went to the hospital for the birth of Jackie.
To this day I remember well the clothes she made for me and the skill she had with sewing.
She brought great joy to her family and those who knew her well.
I pray God will comfort and encourage each one in the family and those who are feeling so painfully the loss.

I have so many awesome memories of my Aunt Teesie, as I called her. Her laugh and silliness always kept us smiling and having fun. Her independence and career focus taught me many important aspects in life. She was very supportive and always encouraged me, whether it was a dance recital, graduation, or just a text when I was feeling down, Teesie was there with a smile, some words of wisdom, and of course a joke or two. The sound of her laughing was the best. I can still hear it now whenever I think of her. I'm so very thankful for the time I had with T. I hope she is at peace, playing with Dallas, and watching over Roxy. I know her and Roxy would have had a lot of fun times together. Sending all my love to maw maw, Aunt Jackie and mom. XOXO

Theresa made my kindergarten graduation dress in 1973. I still have it! She was one of the most talented seamstresses I’ve ever seen. I always enjoyed catching up with her, she was always so upbeat and supportive of whatever others were doing in their lives. She will be missed.
Prayers to Glendora, Dee Dee, Jackie, Casey, Francesca, and Sophia
Love you all!

The Life of Theresa Lowery

August 12, 2020
Theresa was born in Laurinburg North Carolina, her parents were Glendora and William T. Lowery. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Stone Mountain, Ga with her two sister’s Dee Dee & Jackie under the care and love of Glendora and her Daddy Jack Godbold. Theresa spent some of her summers with her father WT, her stepmom Juanita and her brother Bill Lowery. During these times she enjoyed traveling with her family. Also during those summers with Juanita, she developed a passion and skill for sewing.

While Theresa was living in Stone Mountain she attended Stone Mountain Elementary and after graduating from Stone Mountain High School she attended DeKalb Community College where she developed impressive printing and graphic design skills. These skills lead her to a successful career
for over thirty years in the printing industry which included gaining recognition as one of the top sales people in the printing world.

This successful career also enabled her to travel which included living in Chicago and Dallas, Texas.

Following her time in Texas she returned to the Atlanta residing in the Grant Park area. She left the printing industry to pursue other interests and hobbies which included an interest in antiques and a passionate love for dogs.

During this time in Atlanta Theresa adopted her best four legged friend ”Dallas Houdini Lowery”. He brought lots of joy to all her family. After living in the Grant Park area Theresa was ready to travel again, prior to leaving the Atlanta area she spent time living at home with her mother Glendora and her Daddy Jack Godbold.  In 2004 Theresa headed to Austin Texas. While, in Texas Theresa worked as a customer service rep for Sears.   Eight years later Theresa and Dallas return to Georgia to be closer to her family. During this time she was as a Medical Coding Administrator and continued to do this line of work up to her unexpected passing.

All her life Theresa has been an independent person that enjoyed her own company but was always a pleasure to be around when she was with her family and friends. God bless you Theresa and Rest in Peace.  You and your smile, dimples and all will be missed.
