Devoted husband of the late Nancy (nee Cosgrove) Mackin for almost 54 years. Son of the late Dr. Charles E. and Gene (Donahue) Mackin of Shamokin, PA. Proud father of Thomas J., Patrick C. (Julie), John E. (Daniel Burke), Francis D. (Gina), and Ned. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Tyler) Grahe, Anne (Jeff) Brown, Hannah, Anthony, Joseph, and Michael. Devoted great-grandfather of Jay Brown.
Thomas was a graduate of St. Edward High School, Shamokin, PA, Mt. St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, MD, and Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He taught in parochial and public schools for 35 years and at Drexel University Evening College for 27 years.
Viewing Thursday, August 12 from 9:30 to 10:45 am, at St. Michael’s Church, 313 Memorial Avenue, Gibbstown, NJ 08027 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ. The Mass will be livestreamed at: stclarenj.org/livestream.
