Thomas you've been on my mind lately as I acquired this great cribbage app. I've played a few hundred games already, but not nearly as many as you and I played together over 45 yrs. I think of you as I play and remember the martini's, the laughter, the banter and the verbiage. The times we had!
And, when I set the game to pro/challenge the computer plays just like you, but doesn't have that silly, cantankerous laugh when it beats my ass.
Happy Birthday you loveable foukin' Irishman.

Tis a fitting day to write to Thomas as I cannot remember many St. patty's days that have gone by that I didn't call him. We met in the spring of 1970 as our business paths crossed and interweaved several times over our. 45 year friendship.
The stories were many...... but the best part in looking back was to listen to Tommy relive our plethora of escapades! What a privilege that he considered me his friend ..
We found this old green knitted tam-o-shanter at a garage sale, it was a quarter but Tommy Jew'd them down to 20 cents, we each put in a dime and had half ownership. We took turns wearing it on this day and, took turns having possession. TC had it last.......I hope he's wearing it.

To my father in-law who was always wonderfully well thank you for asking. I will miss our food chats and being told what a great cook I am. Discussing the price of asparagus and who was getting a better deal. I will forever charish our shared love of garlic and the garlic icecream recipe in the cookbook you found. Although it has been a while since we found our way to the farmers market for hot spicey brauts at 7:00 am I think of those times fondly.

You are missed

I inherited a remarkable skill from my grandfather: the ability to fall asleep anywhere at any time. The legend of Lightning Nap O'Brien goes like this: after driving for many hours, my Grandpa Tom was very tired. As he pulls up to a red light, he turns to my mother (who was sitting in the passenger seat) and says "wake me up when the light turns green."

Hey Dad!!
I just want you to remind you, wherever you are now, about what a great Dad you've been to me. Always positive; always incredibly proud; always encouraging me to be the person I want to be (while at the same time unconditionally loving the person I am!).

I miss knowing that you are waiting for me to call each morning. I miss our "word of the day." I miss our "book club" conversations on any book I care to send your way. I miss being called "Colleeny" by the only person in the world who is allowed to use that name.

You are gone, but you are still with me. I love you.
Colleen
