Thomas D. “Don” Theis, Sr.,

Thomas D. Theis, “Don”, age 81, passed away on  March 18, 2013 at his home in West Deptford, NJ with his loving family by his side. Don was born on June
13, 1931 in West Berlin, NJ to the late Grace Marie (Brown) and John Henry Theis.
Don served bravely and valiantly as a United States Marine on the front
lines during the Korean War with Charlie Company Rockets Platoon. In 1956
Don married his loving wife Pauline and settled down in South Jersey until
his professional career with Henkels & McCoy took him and his family to
many exciting locations throughout the United States and Middle East. He was a Fourth Degree Knight, member of the Legion of Mary, and an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist with special emphasis on serving the sick and home bound.
Beloved husband for 56 years of Pauline (nee Ciko). Devoted father of Deacon Steven T. Theis and his wife Mary L. of Parkville, MO, Thomas D. “Don” Theis, Jr. and his wife Deborah Anne of Harrison, NY and Suzanne Nahas and her husband Michael of W. Deptford, NJ.  Loving grandfather of Ryan, Michael, Jason, Taylor, Christopher and Nicholas. Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

A viewing will be held Thurs., March 21, 2013 from 10 am - 12 pm at Infant Jesus Parish, St. Margaret’s Church, 334 Beech Ave., Woodbury Heights, NJ, where Don’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm.  Interment will be private at the Gloucester County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.
