His Life
April 18, 2016

Tom to me was someone who was like a 2 nd father to me! He taught me many important life lessons and when asking him for advice he did not just give his opinion. He gave you many things to think about. Then left the choice up to you as to how to handle your dilemma. He loved me unconditionally and was there for me in my worst and best of times! When my children were growing up he was active in their lives. He would come to school concerts, baseball games etc..He told me often he was proud of me but also told me when he was disappointed in me as well. He taught me how to accept constructive criticism. Tom opened his heart and his home to many people who needed a room to get back on their feet. He would sit and talk for hours. When I was a young child I remember thinking will he ever shut up lol. As I grew to be an adult I enjoyed our long talks. He explained politics to me and economics. Things that bored the hell out of me but I appreciate having that knowledge now. My children loved him very much! Especially my daughter Tierra Dorsey. The two of them had a very close bond and friendship. He would have done anything for her. He used to always tell her never let anyone tell you that you cannot do something. You can do whatever you want and whatever your heart desires. She still quotes this all the time and lives by it everyday. I created this memorial page so Tom will forever live on in spirit here on Earth. Even though now he is resting in peace up in heaven. And just to let you know Uncle Tom I have coconut head and I will continue to scare all the kids in the family with it just as you did LOL. I will love and miss you always. Love your niece Heather.
