Thomas Edward Dorsey began his life's journey December 13, 1969 in Tuskegee, AL, the son of the late Thomas Dorsey, Jr. and Bernice McNabb Dorsey.

Thomas, affectionately called "Boo Boo" by his family, departed this life August 8, 2015 in a tragic automobile accident. A celebration of love service was held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 12:00 noon from Barbour County High School in Clayton, AL with Rev. James Person, Pastor of New Mt. Silla Baptist Church, Midway, AL, officiating. Interment followed immediately afterwards at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisville, AL. Thomas was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas Suede and Minnie Lee Livingston Dorsey and maternal grandfather, Otis McNabb.

Thomas confessed Christ and was baptized at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. He and his family were members of Word of Faith Family Cathedral in Austell, GA under the leadership of Bishop Dale C. Bronner.

Thomas attended the Rochester, NY Public School System for 12 years until he was injured in a tragic bus fire. He was down but not out. With the nurturing care of his wife, Isha and a lot of prayer he recovered. June 18, 2010, he again began doing what he loved most as he relocated to Clayton, AL and took a position with the Barbour County Board of Education.

Thomas leaves cherish his memory, his loving wife, Isha Dorsey; four children, Thomas, Calvin, Tamisha and Ante'via; mother, Bernice Dorsey, Rochester, NY; one brother, Thomas (Gwen) Murray, Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Bernita Dorsey, Rochester, NY; grandmother, Doshie McNabb, Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Christy Brown; two brothers-in-law, Calvin Brown, Jr. And Antevise Brown, all of Atlanta, GA; seven nieces and nephews, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends too numerous to count who will all miss and cherish his memory. He will be forever remembered for his charismatic smile, his love, his compassion and zest for life.
