Another Adventure
Eric and I grew up together in Unionport, and it seemed like we were always off exploring the woods or waters for places no one else has seen. And they do exist there in places that resemble a sportsman's paradise. The weather never held us back from anything and I remember one day fishing while ice was forming on our lines as we reeled. The infamous 5 pound largemouth bass "SAM" now rests on my wall due to Eric jumping in a pond knee deep in water to pull the fish to shore as he yelled "you're going to loose him man". There are too many stories to tell about our hunting trips while chasing everything from ducks to deer. My favorite memories are the rabbit hunts over baying beagles and it was always a fun competition between us to see how many cottontails we could each get by end of season. I thought he should write a book, as he was very good at exaggerating the events to make things seem more interesting. He has obviously seen many bucks that will make a world record. Time and distance separated us these last years as we both went our ways to live our lives and raise our families, but I am sure we will meet again to have another adventure. Until then, I'll route the Steelers on for you!
