God created man in his own likeness, this is so true with Tom. He was very kind, generous, gracious, professional, someone you could always count on and look up to, a true friend. He was perfection. I never heard him say swear word or say a unkind word. He saw the good in everyone and every task presented to him. He was one of a kind.

His love for his family was clearly written on his face, his eyes and smile lit up at the mention of Trish, Raine, Reese and his furry family members too.

We all have a very special Angel watching over us now. May he Rest In Peace.

I met Tom July 10, 1989, our first day working at PSE&G on Artificial Island in the Nuclear Fuel Supply group. We “clicked” immediately and the relationship began its continuous growth. Everything we did we had fun. In all my travels around this world, I’ve not met anyone who had anything remotely close to what we had…someone to always be there to be a co-worker, friend and brother for 24 hours a day; 7 days a week; 365 days a year for over 33 years. He was my real life GOAT! This void can never be filled.

Tom was the epitome of a gentlemen…always exhibiting class, grace, warmth and compassion while having the conviction to be strong, confident and nurturing in his leadership. I’ve seen it again and again and again.

As you might imagine, too many stories to tell…all funny in their own way.

A beautiful and strong woman told me, “God takes the good ones first”…wow, was she right!

So now, we have to carry on with the same courage Tom taught us all about over these past 6 ½ years.

I told Tom that I’ll always be there and do my best for Trisha, Raine and Reese…he looked at me, rolled his eyes, smiled that Tom smile and said, “I know that”.

Until we meet again…miss you with all my heart and soul.

Like many others, my association with Tom was through PSEG Nuclear. He was the new kid on the block back in 1989 and went from being a coworker to my Nuclear Fuels director many years later. All the time he was always a true leader - positive, helpful and great to work with, even as his health issues started to take hold. His strong commitment to his family, friends, and colleagues created a legacy that will surely live on. May his memory be a blessing.

As a PSEG employee, I had the pleasure of working for Tom when he was named manager of procurement and warehouse operations. Having worked for quite a few managers over my thirty plus years with PSEG, I can easily say that Tom was by far the best to work for. While extremely intelligent and detailed, he had a demeanor that always left me at ease and knowing I had his utmost support. This leadership style and personality made me want to do everything to support him in return. Tom, above all was just a caring and genuine human being. My sincere condolences to his family for your loss.

Tom Valcich was a good man. He was one of the first people I met in the nuclear industry some 30 years ago and he immediately struck me as a true gentleman and a very genuine person. I know he will be fondly remembered and missed by all those who knew him. May you Rest In Peace Tom.

I had the pleasure to meet Tom early in both our nuclear careers. He was always a pleasure to work with - personable, direct, and dependable. We shared many conversations about starting our young families and grew to be good friends. I have very nice memories of long conversations and hearing about his boys and family and could vicariously follow along via Xmas cards and phone call. I miss him very much and will always think of him with a smile on my face. Sincerest condolences to Trish, Raine and Reese for the loss of your Superman. He was.

Tom was a great colleague. Everyone who had the privilege to interact with Tom not only respected him, but found him to be a “good guy” and truly considered him a friend. He will be immensely missed.

Wonderful memories of Tom’s many years at PSEG in the nuclear fuels group. His many uranium industry friends will miss his professionalism, family focus, personality and positive outlook. We would all be blessed to leave such a legacy. Prayers for Tom’s family.

Tom truly was Superman. He was the greatest hero to Trisha, Raine, Reese and to all his family and friends. Tom and I first met working at the Cherry Hill Mall. Tom was my “Best Man” and I was his. Our families have grown together for the past 40 years. He was the greatest friend any one could ever want. His casual everyday life living as “Clark Kent” never hid the fact that he was a Super Man to me.

I along with Maria, Matthew, and Lily will miss him tremendously.
